This General Disclaimer explains the limits of information and services offered through ByJCoaching.com and related communications.

Website information and client relationships

Information on this website and in public-facing content is provided for general informational, educational, and marketing purposes. Visiting the website, submitting an inquiry, downloading material, joining a mailing list, or scheduling a discovery conversation does not by itself create a coaching, consulting, advisory, or other client relationship. A client relationship begins only when By J accepts an engagement and the applicable booking terms, package terms, scope of work, or written agreement are accepted.

Coaching services

Coaching is a collaborative, client-led process intended to support reflection, awareness, decision-making, personal or professional growth, and forward movement. Coaching is not therapy, mental-health treatment, medical care, diagnosis, crisis intervention, legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, or another licensed professional service. By J does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or psychological conditions. Clients should seek appropriately licensed support for needs outside the scope of coaching.

Career positioning and communications services

Career positioning, communications advisory, consulting, creative, and technology-related services may include strategy, research, analysis, writing, editing, planning, recommendations, audits, presentations, messaging, and the development of client materials. By J may rely on information, records, examples, source materials, and instructions supplied by clients. Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving final work, confirming names, dates, credentials, claims, quotations, permissions, and other factual or legal details, obtaining any necessary professional review, and deciding whether and how to publish, distribute, or implement recommendations and materials.

Artificial intelligence and third-party technology

By J may use third-party technology, including generative artificial intelligence and automated tools, to support research, brainstorming, analysis, drafting, editing, summarization, organization, quality review, scheduling, and administrative work. These tools support - but do not replace - professional judgment and human review of client-facing work.

·   AI-assisted and technology-assisted content may contain errors, omissions, bias, outdated information, or material that resembles content generated for others.

·   By J does not guarantee that AI-assisted content is unique, eligible for copyright protection, free of third-party rights, or suitable for a particular legal, regulatory, employment, platform, search, or business purpose.

·   Third-party platforms may process information under their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, and data-retention rules. No technology or transmission method can be guaranteed fully private or secure.

·   By J will use reasonable professional care and will avoid intentionally providing unnecessary highly sensitive personal information to AI tools. Clients should not send passwords, government identification numbers, complete financial-account details, protected health information, trade secrets, or similarly sensitive information unless specifically requested through an appropriate method.

·   Clients may ask about or request reasonable limits on AI use before an engagement begins. A requested limitation may affect scope, timing, process, or price and must be confirmed in writing.

No guarantee of results

Examples, testimonials, observations, forecasts, audits, recommendations, and prior results are not guarantees. By J does not guarantee employment, interviews, promotions, compensation, clients, revenue, business growth, media coverage, reputation outcomes, search rankings, generative-AI visibility, audience response, health outcomes, relationship outcomes, or any other specific result. Each client remains responsible for their own decisions, actions, approvals, implementation, and results.

Third-party services, platforms, and links

The website and By J services may reference or use third-party websites, applications, scheduling systems, payment processors, video platforms, social networks, search engines, generative-AI systems, or other tools. By J does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, security, accessibility, accuracy, policies, changes, or conduct. References and links do not constitute an endorsement or warranty.

Intellectual property and client use

Website content, brand materials, original frameworks, templates, methods, and other materials created by By J are protected to the extent permitted by law and may not be copied, republished, sold, or represented as another person’s work without permission. Ownership and permitted use of client-specific deliverables are governed by the applicable package terms, scope of work, or client agreement. Rights in third-party or AI-assisted material may be limited by law or by applicable platform terms.

Engagement-specific terms control

Specific services may be subject to additional terms addressing scope, deliverables, payment, scheduling, cancellation, confidentiality, intellectual property, technology use, and other responsibilities. If this General Disclaimer conflicts with an accepted package term, scope of work, or written client agreement, the engagement-specific document controls for that engagement.

Updates and contact

By J may update this General Disclaimer as services, technology, or business practices change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current published version. Updates do not retroactively change an agreement already accepted unless the parties agree otherwise.
